March 7, 2012 Finnesgard concert at Quartzsite, AZ - Joel Finnesgard, trumpet player, will be the featured musician at Cov- enant Lutheran Church on Sunday, March 18, at the 9:30 a.m. service. His music in- cludes a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary praise and worship music. His instrumental music is both uplifting and inspirational. Joel was born in northwestern North Da- kota in 1965. He was involved in the fam- ily farm and graduated from Divide County High School in 1983. He studied music two winters at Eastern Montana College in Billings, Montana and farmed with his fa- ther and brother in North Dakota for three years prior to moving to California in 1987. He moved to help with a home mission church (Victoria Community Church) in Rancho Cucamonga as a volunteer. In 1989 Joel married June ( daughter of missionar- ies Lu and Addie Mathison). He worked in commercial construction until August 1999. Since then Sound of the Trumpet has been a full time ministry that has included recording seven albums and over 950 per- formances throughout the U.S. and Cana- da. He has studied trumpet under retired MGM principal studio trumpet player Uan Rasey, originally from Glasgow, Montana. Joel and June enjoy sharing this ministry throughout the coun- try. They now share this experience with their children Joy (5) and Josiah (3). Immediately following the Service, we will retire to the desert for a "Hallelujah" Hobo Stew! If you're not familiar with what that is, you need to bring a chair, a spoon, a non-alcoholic drink & a can of some sort of canned good item (one per person, please) which we will then combine all into a pot. While it becomes "stew" over the fire we will sit & visit. After that, we will take time to Eat, Enjoy & Share more memories of Gene Clark. Husband. Father. Friend. Arrest Report from QPD The following arrests were made by the Quartzsite Police Department 2/2/2012 to 2/29/12 2-8: Robert Logan Wilson, age 52, of Deer Lodge, MT, was arrested and booked into the La Paz County Jail for Aggravated D.U.I and Aggravated D.U.I. with Two or More Prior Offenses. 2-8: Terresa Coyle, age 35, and Ernest Renteria, age 39, both of Quartzsite, were arrested and booked into the La Paz Coun- ty Jail for Disorderly Conduct. 2-10: Austin John Lee Schonberger, age 20, of Mayer, AZ, was arrested and booked into the La Paz County Jail on a Felony Warrant for Probation Violation. He was also cited for Fictitious Plates, Registration Not in Vehicle, No Proof of Insurance, and False Information to Law Enforcement. 2-12: Ryan Hector Rangel, age 19, of Quartzsite, was arrested and booked into the La Paz County Jail for two counts of Child Abuse and Escape in the 2nd Degree. 2-12: Stephen Wayne Oshea, age 48, of Quartzsite, was arrested and booked into La Paz County Jail for Disorderly Con- duct. 2-14: Stanley Douglas Knee-Kirby, age 67, of Wilson, WI, was arrested and booked into the La Paz County Jail for Failure to Provide Proof of Identity. 2-14: Liu Xiaobing, age 23, of Riverside, CA, was cited and released for Excessive Speed and No Proof of Insurance. 2-17: Kevin Ivan Maleta, age 25, of Co- rona, CA, was cited and released for Ex- ceeding 85 MPH and Stop Sign Violation. 2-17: Ryan Joseph Staples, age 31, of Tucson, AZ, was cited and released for Public Consumption, Attempted Posses- sion of Marijuana, and Attempted Posses- sion of Drug Paraphernalia. 2-17: Anna Merlin, age 44, of Tucson, Page 33 AZ, was cited and released for driving on a suspended license. 2-18: Sidnie Delettre, age 20, of North Hollywood, CA, was cited and released for Exceeding 85 MPH. 2-21: Orlando Tinoco, age 20, of Quartz- site, was cited and released for Loud Music from Vehicle. 2-21: Nano Bridgette Johnson, age 54, of Blythe, CA, was arrested and booked into the La Paz County Jail on an Outstanding Warrant out of Quartzsite, AZ. 2-24: Rodney Lee Prestridge, age 40, of Quartzsite, was cited and released for Driving while Suspended. 2-24: Juan Romero, age 18, of Phoenix, was cited and released Driving in Violation of Restrictions- No Corrective Lenses. 2-25: Chad Vanderbeek, age 29, of Clearfield, UT, was arrested and booked into the La Paz County Jail for Exceeding 85 MPH. 2-25: Lauren Ruffner, age 21, of Chatsworth, CA, was cited and released for Exceeding 85 MPH. 2-26: Daniel Hatfield, age 50, of Durango, CO, was cited and released for Loitering. 2-29: Darlene Henderson, age 50, of Quartzsite, AZ, was arrested and booked into the La Paz County Jail for Possession of Dangerous Drugs, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 2-29: Jerry Wilcox, age 62, of Quartz- site, AZ, was arrested and booked into the La Paz County Jail for DUI.
