HELP TORNADO VICTIMS To Donate $10 to American Red Cross. Text "REDCROSS" to 90999 In Memorium Fred Eugene Walker July 16, 1933 to December 1, 2011 Gene was a lifelong learner, always want- ing to know more about the world around him. He never lacked a friend or someone to talk to, as he would strike up a conversa- tion with a wall if no one else was around to talk to. Gene was an iron worker by trade, and built several large power plants and mille ranges. That started his love of mak- ing or creating new ways of doing things while working for himself that continued until his last day. He was able to drive, fix or fabricate almost anything with almost nothing. He was welcomed home by his parents Fred and Estline Walker, several aunts, un- cles and his very special Grandpa Walker. Left to keep Gene's memoires alive are his wife, Joyce of the family home. His brothers Merrill (Jeanne) Walker of Huntsville Ala., Duane (Maryann) Walker of Tierras, New Mexico; and sisters Audrey (Dale) Johnson of Chinook, Wash. and Doris (Don) Jelso of Ohio. His children are Eldon (Johnnie) Walker, Renea West and Jeff (Aita) Walk- er of Bloomfield, New Mexico, along with many stepchildren. Grandchildren Deidral (Fidal) Florez of Blanco, New Mexico, Amanda Miller of Az- tec, New Mexico, Cyrstal (Billy) Tafoya of Center Point, New Mexico, Sterling Walker of Las Vegas, Nev., Jabe Walker of Farm- ington, New Mexico and step grandchil- dren. Great grand kids are Tyrell, Merce- dez, Ashley, Frankie, Kyle, and Andrez and step great grandchildren. A Living Memorial Service was held Feb. 11th at the Quartzsite Alliance Church. to Dig? The lunch will consist of barbecued burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw, beans, drinks and dessert. There is no charge for the lunch, but donation cans will be put out to help with the cost of the food. The music entertainment for this year will again be Barefoot and Boots band. This band has played at many of these par- ties the past several years, as well as at the annual Spaghetti dinner benefit for the Gardens. One of the band members, Jerry Mullins, has been playing for these parties for the past 16 years!! Along with this great band, Paul will be bringing out his piano, and will play some boogie woogie and blues accompanied by Ralph Martin on the one-string washtub bass, Jerry Mullins on guitar, and Morgan and Marina Mulac on backup vocals on some songs. Should be a lot of fun!! There will be a raffle as well to help with the costs, with some great prizes. If anyone wishes a tour of the Gardens we would be glad to show you around so you can see what we have been doing--many of the plants are now in bloom, so it should be really colorful--bring your cameras!! You might also want to bring a chair as seat- ing is limited, and a hat if you are planning to be in the sun. Come on out and enjoy a great afternoon with your friends and neighbors and help us celebrate Celia's birthday and the Gardens!! He states that there are missing checks..this continues to be his action to attack the town. Put your money where your mouth is Ed Foster! WHERE IS THE PROOF? The Town is subject to audit every year and missing checks have never been an issue. Just goes to show that anyone can say any- thing and there are enough ignorant people who ight just believe it. Wake up voters!!! Do your homework. Vote responsibly! Paid for by Raymond Harris, PO Box 12856, Denver, CO 80204
