We love to support Blythe and Quartzite for welcoming us in your community. Is your utility billing information private? Quartzsite, AZ - According to a press release issued by Town of Quartzsite, February 23, 2012, several concerned citizens have contacted the Town of Quartzsite concerning claims made online, that the town stated there's no record of a candidate having paid his utility bills, implying this candidate owes the town money at the time of declared candidacy. A request for pub- lic record was filed by Jim Loyd ask- ing for "a statement from the Town of Quartzsite showing that Mr. Luk- kason's [sic] utility bills were all cur- rent before running for public office in Election 3/13/2012". According to the press release, "the Town doesn't create or maintain state- ments about anyone, whether or not they are running for council, showing whether or not their utility bills are cur- rent. The Town believes that its utility customers do not surrender their right to privacy merely because water and sewer utilities are provided by the Town. "The Town will safeguard the privacy of its utilities customers in the same fashion as utility companies like APS and TDS do. Absent a court order, such as a subpoena or a search war- rant, we will not betray our customers' right to privacy. This applies to every customer. Period." WHO IS JENNY MILLS? Her online resume looks good, but she forgot to disclose that she currently works for Richard Oldham. Hmmm? She wants to be mayor and this requires her to enforce town codes and ordinances and yet she herself does not abide by them... she is operating a business without a license. Sounds like someone else I know. Hmmm? Wake up voters!!! Do your homework. Vote responsibly! Paid for by Raymond Harris, PO Box 12856, Denver, CO 80204
