We will be selling Hamburgers and Root Beer Floats 10am to 2pm. March 15 St. Patrick's Day Dinner Queen of Peace Catholic Church will hold a Corned Beef and Cabbage Din- ner on March 15th 4-6pm. March 17 Poker Run The Quartzsite Rotary Club is sponsor- ing a Poker Run on Saturday, March 17th. All proceeds will go to Scholar- ship Fund. See details on page 11. March 17th Cruise-in 2nd anniversary, barbecue and memo- rial for Gene Clark. Fire Dept. provide the barbecue at the Fire Dept. on Tyson Dr. on Saturday, March 17, at 12 p.m. Anyone who wishes to bring their an- tique, vintage or classic vehicle should meet at the Shell Station at 11 a.m. that day--they are planning a cruise around the town and ending up at the Fire Sta- tion for the barbecue. The lunch will cost $5.00 per person, with all pro- ceeds going to the Fire Dept. March 18 Celia's Gardens Party in Park The 17th Annual Party in the Park will be held March 18th at noon. Barefoot and Boots band will entertain dur- ing the celebration. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and all the goodies, raffles to help with the cost, and tours of the gardens are available. Donations are accepted, however there is no charge for the meal. See article on page 12. March 7, 2012 March 22 Workshop Parker The Parker Public Library will hold an Adult Education Series presented by Cheri Horbacz of Southwest Fair Housing Council. The Credit Report and Fair Housing workshop will be held March 22nd, 1pm-2:30pm. This workshop includes how to view and understand your credit report: to ensure it is correct, what the elements are in credit scor- ing, and strategies to improve as well as covering tips and tricks to protect your identity. The workshop guides you through the fundamental laws of fair housing, jam packed with tips and techniques to recognize, understand and avoid complaints and violations. Resources will be provided.
