I could stay in my pajamas, pop some popcorn and watch Christmas shows all day. They are warm and fuzzy, everything nice. With tears of joy, these holiday mov- ies make you feel good inside. They remind you of good old fashion values and the meaning of life. With all the unrest and troubles of to- day's world I can't help wonder: what if? What if the tribulations of life could turn around like a Christmas movie sparking the magic of the season into producing a happy ending? We discover from watching Christ- mas movies unfold, that the actors cast as seemly bad people or people who went astray, were simply mis- understood individuals. Somewhere along the story line they were hurt by others or felt not good enough or dis- liked. They were wounded souls. Deep inside all they wanted was to be loved, liked and healed. Power, control, greed, or a closed heart, are just ways to protect against future pain. Sadly, instead these characteristics hurt oth- ers. However, in the end of the story when tears of joy touch our heart, faith and love seem like magic revealing the wounded souls mask and returning them to love. How can we sow the seeds of magic and restore our great country to the primary values it was based on? The values of freedom, love, honesty, unity, faith, and good- ness for all. Changing chan- nels I see pro- testing leads to pepper spray. Blaming leads to a resistance to change. Think- ing people are evil leads to blocked hearts. If we are the authors writing the script of our lives how can we help turn America's mess into meaningful tears of joy and a happy ending, like a sweet Christmas movie? Turn on the TV this season, cuddle up with a nice cup of tea and join me watching these heart-warming movies. Then as day turns to night and it is time to go to bed, be like a child dreaming of wondrous things to come. Dream of every despair being repaired with the miracle of love. See it, feel it with your heart and soul. Imagine it becoming a movement of Occupy Love. It is my sincere wish that each of you will be surrounded by love this sea- son. Write your wish list; declare like a child's list to Santa Claus. Then, believe in the magic of the season, open your hearts and embrace the joy in the little things of life. Like baby steps leading us to a wondrous change, faith, love and gratitude, become the answers we are searching for. Thank you for being born on earth, at a time when the planet needs you the most. You are magnificent in all your unique ways. Your faith is the magic and your love is the spark.
