LOST DOG MIX UP AT PARKER SHELTER QUARTZSITE- In a letter addressed to Parker Town Manager Lori Wede- meyer, dated Feb.11, 2011, KT Good complained about service she received from an employee working at the Park- er Animal Shelter. A few months ago, Good adopted a dog from Paw Power Animal Shelter in Quartzsite, took the dog to Parker to receive tags but the employee refused to issue tags, claiming she needed the “exact rabies papers”. On her return trip to Parker, the dog slipped out of his harness, jumped out of the car and ran away. Good reported him “Miles” lost to the Animal Shelter, Police and Tribal Police. She called the shelter many times, but a man told her Miles had not been found. In early February, a woman told Good the Parker Animal Shelter of- fered to sell Miles to her. Immediately Good called to fi nd out if Miles was still there, but the employee she had no re- P 9 cord of who adopted him. Evidently, the employee knew the dog’s name, and should have known that dog was lost as reported. Ms. Good is upset about the loss of her animal and is extremely frustrated about how the Parker Animal Shel- ter handled the situation. If anyone knows of the whereabouts of Miles, a male Chihuahua min-pin-mix, please contact KT Good at 928-287-4515. Palm Plaza Laundromat (next to the bank) N.
