M���� 2, 2011 ���.D�����M��������.��� RAINBOW ACRES GOLF TOURNEY #6 QUARTZSITE- On Thursday morning, February 24, the sun was shining brightly as the team of Kit Wilkins and Jim Austin fi red a tournament best score of 38. They put together a great effort in beating out 4 teams that tied for 2nd place in the scramble tournament. The teams of Gary McGowan & Gary Pennington, Larry Kroh- ling & Linda Taylor, George Lische & Dillon Harr, and Dean Harr & Jerry Taylor all shot rounds of 41. The fi nal placing team shooting a 42 was Robert Dixon and John Fullmer. All 34 participants enjoyed the nice weather and getting ac- quainted with new friends. In the long drive competition on hole #13, Dillon Harr (grandson of Darlene and Darwin Aitkin) took the honors. Winning closest to the pin for the women on hole #2 was Linda Taylor. For the men, closest to the pin on hole #9 was Daryll Russell. Our next tournament at Rainbow Acres will be Thursday, March 10, for all interested golfers. Hope to see you there!
