JULY 31-AUGUST 6, 2019 UCW 41 Best of Fayetteville Best Veteran-Owned Business Chop Shop Tattoos 2945 Hope Mills Rd., Suite 108 910-426-4657 or www.chopshoptattoos.com Chop Shop Tattoos has been veteran owned and operated since 2002. This is the third consecutive year it's won the designa- tion of Best Veteran-Owned Business. The majority of the artists working at Chop Shop Tattoos are veterans. The business takes pride in supporting both the active- duty and veteran community in Fayetteville and the surrounding area. Owner Robert "Chop" Francis is no stranger to military service. A former 82nd Airborne Division soldier, Francis has been in business almost 20 years. During that time, he's built a reputation both for his high-quality work and for developing custom artwork. In addition to hiring veterans on his staff, Francis is involved in a number of events each year that give back to the local military community. The Chop Shop donates money to such organizations as Fort Bragg's Fisher House, the USO, 22Kill, and Operation Tattooing Freedom. The Chop Shop has also hosted the All American Tattoo Convention. The Chop Shop's specialty is street-style tattoos, but its artists are also skilled in doing custom designs. Customers can browse the gallery of past work online or visit the shop for advice from the dedicated staff, who are more than happy to take questions. Best Shopping Complex (Not the mall) Westwood Shopping Center 400 Westwood Shopping Center 910-868-2121 or www.westwoodsc.com When you've got a lot of shopping to do, wouldn't it be great to get it all done in one spot instead of spending your time driving around town from one store to another? There is such a place in Fayetteville. Westwood Shop- ping Center is home to a va- riety of businesses, including clothing stores, a pharmacy, entertainment venues, a num- ber of restaurants, specialty shops and service providers. Most of our readers already know this, as Westwood has won this category many times before. Locally owned and operated, Westwood Shopping Center was built in 1974 by the Player family and is an integral part of the 600-acre regional trade center in Fayetteville, which includes several other shopping centers and brings in more than $200 million to the local economy every year. Looking back over the past 45 years of development, the Player family takes pride in the fact that the shopping center has become a place where small-business owners turn their dreams into reality. Westwood Shopping Center is in the heart of Fayetteville's bustling restaurant and shopping district at the intersection of Morganton and McPherson Church Roads, near the All American Freeway. The area continues to grow and offer new options for shoppers and local businesses.
