32 JULY 31-AUGUST 6, 2019 Best of Fayetteville Best Coffee House Rude Awakening 227 Hay St. 910-223-7833 or www.rudeawakening.net In 1998, Molly and Bruce Arnold sought shelter in front of the empty, condemned location in downtown Fayetteville that would someday become their coffee shop. Twenty years and one remodel later, Rude Awakening is still a beloved go-to for coffee drinkers. Along with their goal to brew great coffee, the Arnolds aim to provide good jobs for good people, be a part of their community and welcome any and every customer to sit down for a hot or cold cup. The folks at Rude Awakening take quality service very seriously because they love their customers and, in their own words, "coffee is life." Rude Awakening's menu is diverse. The baristas can make your coffee any way you want — espresso, drip, hot, cold, blended, with coffee cubes, black, sweet, latte, pumpkin pie, cold brew, Cuban, breve, peppermint mocha, cappuccino, Nitro, mocha — you name it. The shop also has a plethora of sandwiches and pastries, like cheese croissants and gluten-free brownies, to go with your drink. Best Deli New Deli 2153 Valleygate Dr., Suite 1 910-223-3082 or www.mynewdeli.com/home.aspx New Deli has been a Best of Fayetteville winner every year since 2011, including wins for Best Catering, Best Dessert and Best Business Lunch. When a person thinks of a "happy place," a deli is usually not the first establishment that comes to mind. But after visiting New Deli, you might change your opinion. When you step inside, the unique décor will make you feel as if you're eating inside an "Alice in Wonderland" garden. The only difference is that Tara, the best front-of-house manager ever, is much nicer than the Queen of Hearts. Fresh, delicious, healthy food and awesome service create a healthy eating heaven here, 13 years and going strong. Owners Stephen Brown and Michael Reyes try to source most of their ingredients locally, too. Whether you choose a panini, pizza, salad, sub, flat or wrap, you can be confident your food will be served quickly, at just the right temperature and with a smile. You can also order online and have your food waiting for you when you arrive. Make sure to save room for dessert. New Deli's loaded strawberries and gigantic dessert apples are always a hit. New Deli also offers a variety of catering options. Reasonable prices and dependable service make New Deli a go-to caterer for meetings, parties and all your other functions. w i n e & d i n e Baker American Cycles 1508 Hope Mills Rd.
