Below is a description of the Activity Levels that we use for our Out & About Series or other programs that may require physical activity. * LEVEL 1: Members must be able to climb a few stairs. LEVEL 2: In addition to Level 1, members must be able to stand for up to an hour and get on and off a 15 passenger van / motor coach. LEVEL 3: In addition to Levels 1 & 2, members must be able to climb a few fl ights of stairs and walk over uneven surfaces. LEVEL 4: In addition to Levels 1 – 3, members must be in good health, mobile and able to participate in 3 to 5 hours of physical activity per day and walk 1 to 3 miles over uneven ground. LEVEL 5: In addition to Levels 1 – 4, members must be in excellent health, ex- tremely mobile and have an active lifestyle. * OLLI at UA is not responsible for any damage or personal injury sustained when a member is participating in any OLLI sponsored activities on or off the UA campus. If you miss the fi rst meeting of a class, please call the OLLI offi ce at 479.575.4545 or email olli@uark.edu to learn whether the next meeting location or time has been changed. If you register for a class and decide not to attend, please call us to let us know because many classes and activities have waiting lists. MISSING A CLASS ACTIVIT Y LEVELS The Eleanor Mann School of Nursing is seeking volunteers for their class, "Nursing Concepts: Older Adult" OLLI volunteers will be paired with a U of A nursing student who will serve as their mentor throughout the semester. They will meet with the student 5-6 times during the semester for various learning and social activities. Join us on this venture that will help students broaden their experience and understanding with this generation! HEAR WHAT VOLUNTEERS HAVE TO SAY: "The experience was excellent and I would participate again in the future." "Great intergenerational discussion and dialogue" "I am an OLLI member and volunteer, and was interested in the Mentoring program because I'm a long-retired RN & defi nitely want to encourage nursing students!"
