Or, if you are new to OLLI, welcome! The fall is a great time to take a class. Peruse through this catalog and you will find a diverse repertoire of over 100 intellectually stimulating, non-credit courses and educational activities, specifically designed for people just like you. These include dine and discover outings with a local chef, art tours, courses to help you avoid the Flu, day hikes and a number of trips and tours to destinations in and around the state. Our curriculum committee has worked very hard to recruit expert instructors, many of whom work for free, and assemble a diverse list of programs that I am certain you will find intriguing and exciting. Participants of OLLI are offered membership options that include a number of great benefits as well as significant opportunities for volunteer engagement and leadership. If you would like to go beyond our course offerings you might want to check out our monthly social activities and special interest groups or consider volunteering on a committee or as a class ambassador. These extra activities for our members are a great way to get involved, meet new people and shape the future of our programs. No matter what you choose, I am certain you will find OLLI to be engaging, informative and fun, providing an ideal learning environment and unique experiences. When people talk about OLLI at the University of Arkansas, three things come to mind: lifelong learning, lifelong friendships and endless opportunities. I look forward to your involvement in OLLI this fall and in the semesters beyond. Your membership and participation in OLLI is greatly appreciated and valued! Sincerely, Josh Raney, Director Josh Raney, OLLI Director NOTICE: Courses listed in this catalog are off ered in the spirit of academic freedom.
