It has been featured in Nation- al Geographic Magazine, The Guard- ian, and Backpacker Magazine, and of- fers 270 miles of the most rugged and scenic terrain in the region. It is well- known for its winter hiking opportu- nities, with Fall through Spring being peak seasons. This 5.2 mile section of the OHT, will take you to the Marinoni Scenic Area, a beautiful and unique place tucked away in the Ozarks. The area, named after Paul A Marinoni, features waterfalls, enormous boul- ders, towering rock walls, and pictur- esque hollows. This trail is uneven, has multiple wet crossings and will vary in elevation. The activity level rating for this hike is a 5. Meeting location and directions will be sent after registering.
