SEPTEMBER 20 - 26, 2017 UCW 61 WWW.UPANDCOMINGWEEKLY.COM Best Landscaping Company Cardinal Landscaping 1064 71st School Rd. (910) 867-9595 or www.cardinallandscaping.com When it comes to land- scaping, Fayetteville has given Cardinal Landscap- ing two green thumbs up. As a community, we choose Cardinal because of its excellence in design, construction, installation, irrigation and innovation. Since 1986, Cardinal has served the Fayetteville and Fort Bragg area on resi- dential and commercial properties. Owner Wesley A. Meredith understands that lawn care in the Sandhills can be a difficult job. He said customers ap- preciate his company's prompt and reliable service, friendly personnel, quality workmanship and military discounts that alleviate already competitive pricing. Throughout the four seasons, Cardinal offers pest, weed and fertilization ser- vices. It installs irrigation systems to keep our grass green and outdoor lighting for our summer evenings. But Cardinal Landscaping doesn't leave after the job is finished. It sticks with us throughout the year to provide maintenance services when we don't feel like digging up those stubborn, returning weeds or washing the siding. Bobby Hurst, Fayetteville Beautiful chairman, said, "Cardinal employees take pride in their work and do their best to make you satisfied with the results." Best Library Branch Hope Mills Public Library 3411 Golfview Rd., Hope Mills (910) 425-8455 or www.cumberland.lib.nc.us Celebrations are many for the Hope Mills branch of the Cumberland County Public Library system in 2017. In June, it celebrated its 25th anniversary. What makes this specific location stand out from the masses? We think it's the branch's partnerships in the community. Hope Mills Public Library offers six story times every week during story time sessions. It partners with Cape Fear Botanical Garden and Celestial Princess Parties to provide children in the community with fun, interactive experiences. Its partnership with the Cumberland County Animal Shelter has helped nine animals find new, caring homes. Thanks to the Hope Mills branch, 92 people were able to participate in a Harry Potter Adventure, 84 mini-golfers played golf inside the library and people were able to discuss sensitive subjects during a Walking Through Grief program supported by Liberty Home Care and Hospice. In total, the library hosted 566 programs and had 12,820 attendees from 2016-17. Oh, wait. One more reminder from our favorite PBS character, Arther: "Having fun isn't hard if you've got a library card!" The Best of Fayetteville issue is online all year long!
