SEPTEMBER 20 - 26, 2017 UCW 25 Best of Fayetteville Best Fine Dining/Best Wait Staff/Best Desserts/Best Business Lunch/Best Appetizers Little Italy Pizzeria and Restaurant 1400 Walter Reed Rd., Suite 130 (910) 867-8700 or www.littleitalyfay.com What everyone wants in international cuisine is authenticity. And that's what you get when you dine at Little Italy in the Omni Shopping Center on Owen Drive at the All American Freeway. It doesn't get any more authentic than dining in an Italian restaurant where they actually speak Italian. Joe Scibilia and son John pair their authentic Italian fare with authentic Italian hospitality. The Scibilias specialize in "old country recipes" handed down through generations for Little Italy's homemade pastas dishes in addition to a variety of Italian meat and seafood dishes. Their menu also features an extensive selection of imported and domestic wines that perfectly complement each and every entree. Little Italy has incredible food, service and yes, the best desserts in Fayetteville. In every category, Joe and his entire Little Italy staff are committed to exceeding your dining expectations. Visit soon. You will not be disappointed. Best New Restaurant Metro Diner 2132 Skibo Rd. (910) 493-3560 or www.metrodiner.com There is something about the idea of a diner that feels homey, nostalgic and rib- stickin' good. With its checkered floor tiles, cozily packed tables and abundant menu options, Metro Diner brought the charm of a modern-day diner to Fayetteville this December. And we loved it! Metro Diner's menu has garnered awards from Foursquare, TripAdvisor, LocalEats and more. Its most popular offerings include J.C.'s Vortex Burger, Fried Chicken & Waffle, and Charleston Shrimp and Grits. In 2010, Guy Fieri of Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" visited the restaurant's Jacksonville location. Fieri tried a Metro Diner classic, the Meatloaf Plate, and declared with a grin that "Diners across the world have to take a lesson on this one." The chain was established in 1992 in Jacksonville, Florida, and has since expanded to include multiple locations across 10 East Coast states. The Fayetteville location is the second Metro Diner to open in North Carolina, the first having opened last year in Raleigh. Metro managing partner Wesley Langenbacher said he believes that "when you care about the people you're cooking for, it shows in the food. And what we serve is comfort food with a flair! Since we opened our doors in Fayetteville, the community has been very supportive, especially our friends at Fort Bragg."
