November 21, 2012 Heartist Christmas Cards back by popular demand Quartzsite, AZ - Heartist "Christmas Cards for Char- ity" will be the featured art- ists at the Horizon Commu- nity Bank for November 15th though Dec. 15th. The artists are from all around the area as far as Sedona, Lake Havasu City, Hope, Bouse, Brenda and Quartzsite to name a few. The proceeds, less expenses will go to more than one charity named by the bank ladies. Original paintings of the cards will be on display as well as for sale starting at $40.00. Heartist would like to thank the Mountain Quail Cafe for having the cards available for their cus- tomers along with Oney Budge's Desert and Quartzsite Christmas Cards Collection. 10% of Oney's sales will be added to the Charity Cards sales. Please help your community by pur- chasing your unique Christmas cards from your local Artist. We have packets of 8 handpainted cards for $10.00 and this year we have handpainted orna- ments for just $5.00 each. Local winter resident, Sue Gwaltney's newly released book recalls the carefree days of rock and roll, cool cars, fast horses, and zany adventures, all contained within the framework of Christian upbringing, and as she says, "show- ing respect to our elders…and having the courtesy to always close the gates behind us!" A Lakeside, Montana native, Sue's memoir is a tribute to her hometown on Flathead Lake and the people who have made it the delightful little town that it is. For the past fourteen years, she has spent her winters in another delight- ful little town that she considers her other home, Quartzsite, Arizona.
