It was a bit cool, but a delightful morning anyway. The year's fi rst tour- ney was won by Jerry Taylor and Henry Lucero who teamed up for a score of 39 on the par 56 course. They were closely followed by Bruce Scott and George Lische who fi red a 41. A sudden death playoff was used to determine the 3rd and 4th place fi nishers after both teams shot 42, with Brad Roman and Deano Linden winning out over Larry Krohling and Mike Stegeman. Closest to the pin on #8 was Bud Key and long drive on #13 was Jerry Taylor. In the women's competition, LeeRaye Christner was closest to the pin on #2 and Linda Taylor had the long drive on #13. We hope to see a few more out for our next tournament which is Nov. 29 teeing off at 9:00. If they receive an allowance, calcu- late how long it would take them to save up enough to replace the device themselves. Or calculate the number of chocolate bars a gadget is equal to in cost. By putting it into terms they understand, they'll be more likely to protect their technology. • If traveling light is a priority for your child, go with a form-fi tting case that can be used on any device. For in- stance, Travelocity Travel Tablet Cases fi t all 7 to 8 inch and 9 to 10 inch tablet or e-reader models, have a thin design ideal for travel, but still provide extra cushioning. • Appeal to children's sense of indi- viduality to entice them to always use protective cases on pricey devices. Let your kid guard that gadget with a styl- ish case with a snazzy design of his or her choosing. More information on protecting your family's devices can be found at www. mizco.com. Help your children help you save time and money by giving them the tools to protect their devices.
