First up will be The Claire Lynch Band from Nashville on Sunday, January 6. Claire has been nominated for 3 Grammys. Her mix of Swing, Folk, and Country is infectious. Bring your dancing shoes. On Sunday, January 13, the John Jorgenson Quintet, also from Nashville, comes to the QIA. Coun- try fans will remember John won a Grammy two years ago for his duet album with Brad Paisley. John is considered by many to be one of the world's greatest living guitar players. He spent six years touring the world in Elton John's band and the list of folks who John has played with is long; Sting, Billy Joel, Bonnie Raitt, Pavarotti, Barbra Streisand, to name a few. On Sunday, January 20th, the Good Lovelies, one of Canada's hid- den treasures, perform. They are huge stars north of the border, but U.S. audiences are starting to catch on.
