At 8:30 p.m. there will be a community lantern release as well to fi nish off the great day of fun. The VFW Post 769 has been a great part of Quartzsite for many years, and has always been a big help to the veterans and their families in town. They have many valuable programs to help veterans and their families, and have also supported the efforts of many fundraisers and events throughout the year. The volunteers who make up this great organization have been working very hard to get this new building ready for this event, and hope that you will come and see what they have done and join in the FROM VFW PAGE 1 fun. They are planning to have an offi cial ribbon cutting and open house again in the fall sponsored by the Quartzsite Business Chamber of Com- merce, and the date will be announced closer to the time.
