Pitts Fayetteville Observer Myron Pitts is a native of Fayetteville who, in his own words, "went to the big city, then came back." The big city Pitts is referencing is Chapel Hill, where he attened the University of North Carolina. Upon his return back to Fayetteville, Pitts first job with the Observer was as a reporter for the Saturday Extra. Over the years his responsibilities have changed and today he writes a metro column, a Saturday traffic column and has his own blog, "Myron's Mixer." While Pitts isn't known to pull any punches in his columns, it is his blogs that stir the masses and get people talking. Pitts talks about everything from entertainment to race relations to local politics. You never really know what he is going to talk about, but you can always be sure he is going to speak his mind.
