These businesses offer employment, a tax base and convenience to its residents and visitors. They are year round busi- nesses. The vendors are still here and so are the winter residents and visitors. On November 5, 2010 the Hi Jolly Monument was placed on the state register of historic places and soon the State Historic Preservation Office will recommend that the monument be placed on the national register of his- toric sites. The year 2011 begins a year of cel- ebration for Arizona Centennial where all over the state communities are cel- ebrating where they have been and where they are going. We can celebrate our history and benefit from growth by working through the challenges with dedication to our community and its people. Whether you are swirling across the dance floor to a lively two step by round dance cuer or doing do-si-do to the commands of a square dance caller, you are getting exercise. The Cactus Dodgers Square & Round Dance Club was originally formed in 1974. We belong to the Grand Canyon Square Dance Association and are a no-profit organization. Our members come from all over the country. The dances are held every Monday night and have a different caller every week. These callers come from all over the northwest are considered to among the best in the business. We dance seasonally in Quartzsite P��� 17 from November 22rd to March 14th every Monday night at the QIA(except Jan 17th & 24th, which is held at the Elementary School @ 930 Quail Trail, corner of Kofa & Quail Trail), 7:00p. m. to 9:30p.m. Come check us out and enjoy a fun filled evening.
