SEPTEMBER 28, 2022 UCW 17 Best of Fayetteville Best Food Truck R Burger 814 Lakespur Drive 910-527-1467 or www.facebook.com/rburgertruck R Burger, Fayetteville's premier high-quality mobile food vendor, has only been in service for eight years. But it comes as no surprise that it's already the best food truck in town. With 18 years of experi- ence between the two of them, owners Rob and Mary Russell knew what they were doing when they decided to start a business. Items are cooked to order with quality local ingredients and a special blend of beef, ground daily. Customers receive quality service and quality food every time. R Burger's menu includes offerings like the Southern Burger, made with homemade pimento cheese, grilled onion and mustard; the Carolina Burger, with chili, slaw, onion and mustard; and the Jalapeño Colby Jack Burger, which is pretty self-explanatory. There are also specialty hot dogs and fresh-cut fries. Want something more experimental? You can always build your own burger or hot dog. R Burger has served at places like Bright Light Brewing Company, Dirtbag Ales and other locations, so it's not hard to spot them. Locations and hours are posted weekly on Facebook. Specials change daily. You can also join them at their new brick and mortar location – R Kitchen at 1006 Person Street Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. "We always strive to achieve R motto of 'Love people. Serve them tasty food,'" the owners said. "We make R friends happy! We R always grateful for R loyal fol- lowing." Best Coffee House Rude Awakening 227 Hay Street 910-223-7833 or www.rudeawakening.net During a rainstorm in the 1990s, Molly and Bruce Arnold sheltered at 227 Hay Street. Noticing the build- ing was neglected, they inspected the damage and talked about it until the storm subsided. A few years later, they bought that same build- ing to "revitalize" Hay Street, and, in 1999, the Rude Awakening coffee house opened. At Rude Awakening, coffee is life. You will find espresso, hot, blended and cold drip coffees, cappuccinos and lattes, pumpkin pies, breve, coffee cubes, peppermint mocha and loads of other goodies. Rude Awakening has a great location, with seating inside and out front. The shop caters to those of us that take coffee seriously. Before people like Molly and Bruce Arnold began renovating Hay Street, most of its office spaces were vacant, or in a rough way. Thanks to their love for Fayetteville, Molly and Bruce were able to help what used to be the heart of town get back to its feet. Rude Awakening is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to midnight., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Best Moving Company • 2009 • 2010 • 2011 • 2012 • 2013 •2014 •2015 •2016 •2017 •2018 •2019 •2021 •2022 1517 Hope Mills Rd. 910-826-MOVE 910-630-MOVE (6683) Hudson is excited that Daddy's number one again!
