This is a time when we need to unite and connect with one another for com- fort, support and security. We need to be more fully alive than ever before as individuals. We must be stronger physically and mentally, so we can cope with this situation. It is necessary for us to strengthen our nervous systems, reduce stress, and deal with our fears, anxieties and sadness, so that we can protect ourselves and each other. Beginning with ourselves will create a sense of strength and resilience so that we can cope with situations that may threaten us. If this is done with a measure of calm, we will think and act more rationally, remain healthier and be of the utmost benefit to all. We can use all the resources available to us — counseling, massage and body- work, self-help books, spiritual guidance, supplements, etc. — to build a society of people who are able to deal with their lives calmly and rationally. Let’s be well in the present. A body and spirit functioning on fear and anxiety cannot be strong, nor can it move ahead in times of need. Acupuncture is one of the most beneficial modalities available to us for strength- ening our bodies, minds and spirits. It is quick, effective and cost efficient. It helps strengthen our nervous systems, reduce our fears and lifts our spirits, so we can live our lives to the fullest. There is no need to fear acupuncture. It is nearly painless; it’s less painful than living with stress and anxiety. Acupuncture has been used for centuries to manage stress and anxiety. Nov. 30th at 3pm to be held at the Quartzsite Improvement Association (QIA). This is an open meeting for the public to discuss town issues with Quartzsite council members. It is a moderated meeting and questions should be submitted on cards, which will be provided. According to Wikipedia, “A town hall meeting is an informal public meeting. Everybody in a community is invited to attend, voice their opinions, and hear the responses from public figures and elected officials about shared subjects of interest, although attendees rarely vote on an issue.
