All classes will be held at the Quartzsite Senior Center, located at 40 Moon Mt. Rd. • Wed. The silhouette of the Red Ghost camel atop Hi Jolly’s monument has not been returned. The sil- houette can be replaced but to the person or persons that vandalized and stole him, the story will not end. The Red Ghost will ride your mind like his legend. To think up and do this kind of deliberate destruc- tion, you will have to answer to a higher power than all of us and possibly pass by the Red Ghost to get there. The story of the Red Ghost as a legend circulated for many, many, years – part truth, part fiction. When he was shot in 1893, the bindings that had held the corpse of a man were imbedded into Reds skin so far, it was felt he was crazed with pain turning him into a killer. I liken the legend of the Red Ghost to the silhouette atop Hi Jolly’s grave. I think he represents the tenacity of an animal transported from a foreign NOW OPEN!
