N������� 3, 2010 QUARTZSITE- Proud Neighbors of Quartzsite invites the public to the free event at the Rock Motel, 100 W. Kuehn, Tyson Wells Showgrounds. The 2nd Annual “Rockin’ in Quartz- site” Artist Reception Gala will be held on Saturday, Nov. 6th from 5-8pm. The public is invited to meet the art- ists and help “wake up” the Rocks so they can move to their next locations all around town for the whole winter season! Here’s your chance to get the first look at all the Rock Art, all in one place, before they “hit the town”! This gala affair will honor our artists and allow them to shine! Please join us for the free elegant meet and greet eve- ning of fun, food and entertainment. “Rockin’ in Quartzsite!” is a public art event. Local artists have been very busy the past two weeks, painting flagstone slabs. This year’s theme is, “The Beauty of the Sonoran Desert.” The Rock Art will be on display throughout town during the whole winter season. Quartsite is known worldwide for its rocks and shows! Expanding on this theme, locals and visitors alike will ���.D�����M��������.��� Rock Artist Reception, Sat. Nov. 6, 5-8 find themselves looking through town, using a “Rockin’ in Quartzsite Map” bringing folks from one end of town to the other. Sponsor locations will published in the Desert Messenger. The public will also be able to vote on their favorite for the People’s Choice Award at each sponsor’s location. Make sure to say thank you to the sponsors, also! It does take a village for an event of this mag- nitude to happen, so please spread the word and thank everyone involved. Mark your calendars for Sat. March 5 for the live Rock Auction to be held at the Town Park. The Rock Art will be auctioned to the highest bidder! You don’t want to miss the opportunity to own of the one-of-a-kind pieces of Rock Art! Please join in celebrating the amaz- ing artwork of our local artists! Ev- eryone is invited to meet and greet the many service organizations in town. Quartzsite is a unique community that appeals to people from every walk of life. It is also a town that relies on its many volunteer clubs and organi- zations to make things happen. Our service organizations depend on vol- unteers whose desire is to help in any way they can.
