O 6, 2010 Event Calendar Planning Meetings Quartzsite - The Arizona Centennial Committee of Quartzsite will hold two meetings, open to the public, to plan the Centennial Year long events. Churches, organizations, schools, clubs, businesses, individuals are all invited on Tuesday, Oct. 12th at 10am at Mt. Quail RV Park Rec Hall OR Monday, Oct. 25th at 7pm at the QIA. Please bring your club’s event calen- dar to share. The goal of these meetings is to help our signature events and organizations coordinate their events and bring any new events to the table. Pretty much we want to know what events will be taking place in the upcoming year so there aren’t any scheduling conflicts and to have an accurate calendar to market. The Centennial celebrational year kicks off at the ATV Parade on Feb- ruary 12, 2011 and runs through the finale on February 14, 2012. There are lots of new events planned and Quartzsite needs your help to make this a successful year of fun! There are no public funds for the Centennial, at the state level or local els, so it’s up to local communities to make it happen. The response state- wide has been tremendous with many cities and towns participating. The Secretary of State was please to see what Quartzsite has planned. Come to the meetings and lend a helping hand for our community! Thank you to all the folks who have already volunteered to help.
