NIGHT LIFE N Best Venue for Live Music Festival Park Ray Avenue, Fayetteville www.fcpr.us With the ability to hold more than 10,000 audience members, Festival Park has become the place for musical performances of most every type. Fayetteville after 5, the Dogwood Festival, Symphony in the Park and the International Folk Festival have all been held here and the patrons just love it. The acoustics, the location and the atmosphere all come together to make a wonderful place to spend your time. The park took 10 years and $11 million to build. It is nearly 14 acres and includes permanent rest rooms, a 2,700 square foot stage and backstage changing areas. All of this is perfect for the masses of people and all the entertainment the park attracts. Before Festival Park there was one of the largest USO buildings in the world standing in its place, but it burned down in 2002. After a tremendous clean-up effort, the Festival Park we know and love was built on top of the ashes. The park not only includes the stage and grassy areas, but also four acres of retail and commercial space called Festival Park Plaza. It’s a cozy establishment, with friendly faces, a great selection of drinks and an atmosphere that just makes you want to hang around awhile. Charlie Mike’s regularly participates in poker runs and fundraisers for folks in need in the community and its big-hearted patrons are right there looking to do the right thing and make the world a little better. The Night Club, Cigar Bar, Patio and Comedy Club each offers a unique opportunity to break the ice and make a special connection, especially if you have great lines like: “Sorry, but you owe me a drink.
