August 14, 2013 Parker Library offers e-books Parker, Ariz- The Parker Public Library now provides e-books and audio books for all who have a Parker Library card. It's as easy as clicking on www.parkerpubliclibraryaz.org and clicking "ebooks/audiobooks" in the left column of the website. Browse through the selection and add the materials to your cart. When you are ready to checkout, you may need to download a special program depending on your device. This service supports Kindles, mobile devices, PCs, Macs, iPods, iPads, and other tablets. A wireless connection is needed to download the materials, but once downloaded you can enjoy them anywhere. Checkout time is two weeks. The books simply disappear and there are no late fees. The Parker Library also has free access to a selection of over 100 magazines on a program called Zinio, which can also be accessed on the Parker Library website mentioned above. Just click on digital magazines on the left side of the webpage, set up an account, make your selection and check it out with your library card. There's always something new at the library.
