Pay Station AZ Lottery & Pick Fish & Game Licenses Beer & Wine ASSESSOR'S CORNER Greetings to all, we would like to Welcome back all our Winter Visitors and remind those of you who reside in RV Parks to please assist your Park Manager by giving the in- formation needed for their park register. Also, any travel trailers, 5th wheels and/or mobile homes remaining in Arizona through the majority of the year are subject to per- sonal property tax unless, they carry a cur- rent Arizona License plate. Another remind- er, when selling a mobile home or travel trailer take the time to go to the Arizona De- partment of Motor Vehicles with the buyer and have your name removed from the title. Too many times, this does not get done and leaves the seller with all liability, take the ex- tra step and protect yourself, you'll be glad you did. Once the title has changed to the new owner, please take the time to visit the Assessor's Office to provide a copy of the new title of ownership for our records. You should always notify the La Paz County As- sessor's Office with any changes such as, if your Mobile/RV/Travel Trailer is destroyed, new ownership, new address, or moving to a new location of the unit/space # to keep your records current. Other issues and concerns that have been brought to our attention, are the winter visitors that leave their travel units here for more than 6 months in La Paz County as per Revised Arizona Statute, Section 42-19153, all Travel Trailers or Recreational Vehicles remaining in the State of Arizona for a pe- riod of 6months or more, must carry a cur- rent Arizona registration/Arizona plate or be placed on the personal property tax roll. When the appraiser's go out to review a Mobile home/RV park sometimes they find Page 11 units that are not on the tax roll, or are not carrying current Arizona plate. These units will then be assessed and placed on the tax roll, that will also include travel trailers kept in storage. Remember if your unit is here in La Paz County then it should be registered here or on the Assessor's Tax roll. If you might move it then license it, but it has to be registered here. As always if you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office at (928) 669-6165 and we will be happy to assist you. Until next time….
