This shop is a must-visit for sweet- toothed locals. Some of Sweet Boutique's best- known desserts include the Red Velvet Cheesecake, Strawberry Moscato Cake, Red Velvet Layer Cake and Cupcakes, and assorted custom Fondant Cakes for the most special of occasions. The shop is veteran- and family-owned. The founder of Sweet Boutique, Nicole Sullivan, is a pillar of the Fayetteville community and was trained in her Grandmother Carrie and Aunt Mae's kitchens through her early culinary years. She later graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York. In 2014, she had the honor of being hired to bake for the U.S. Open (golf ), which was held in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Over the course of a week, she and her staff baked and delivered about 30,000 to 40,000 goodies, including Irish cream whoopie pies, lemon cupcakes with lemon curd inside and Arnold Palmer Southern Pound Cake.
