Best Fitness Coach Kasey Adair of Omni Health & Fitness Center 1400 Walter Reed Rd. 910-423-6664 or www.omnifitnesscenter.com/location/fayetteville-nc Kasey Adair has been a personal trainer since 2013, after graduating from the University of North Carolina –Pembroke with a bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science. She worked a year at Renaissance Day Spa and moved to her current job at Omni Health & Fitness Center in 2014. She is a certified personal trainer through Interactive Fitness Trainers of America, an internationally recognized certification for fitness professionals. "This is such a passion for me," Adair said of helping people reach their health and fitness goals. "I love all of my clients; I am so thankful for my clients. For them, it is much more than 'I want to be fit.' They want to be confident enough to come into the gym and do their own thing." Adair works with many of her clients to get them to a place where they no lon- ger need her. "I have a lot of clients who are pre- or post-knee surgery," Adair said. "I help a lot of them progress from using a cane, or I help them get off blood pressure medicine." Adair's philosophy for being a trainer is simple. "Be friendly and fun. If they are in the gym, it is because they don't like something or they have a health issue," she said. "Provide encouragement and guidance to get better and show progress. ... Be available. Be their go-to person in the gym, not just during an appointment or a class." In addition to assisting individual clients, Adair also leads a Functional Fitness Class on Mondays and Wednesdays at Omni. Functional Fitness is varied high intensity functional movements for all fitness levels. "It is not CrossFit; basically, it's weightlifting, like personal training but in a group setting."
