What is prosperity and resilience? Webster defines it as "the condition of being successful or thriving; especially: economic well-being." Webster defines resilience as "the ability to become strong, healthy, or successful again after something bad happens." The opportunity for our community to become prosperous and resilient will depend on the business leadership in our community. Your Chamber can serve as the focal point of leadership, but it takes business-minded people engaging in the activities of the Chamber. It will also take a clear and determined focused to accomplish this vision. The Chamber currently is showing its own resilience as it changes its business model and focus directly back on the business community. We encourage you to get back involved and help the Chamber through this transformation. It will take business leadership from across all segments of the community to reposition the Chamber for its new vision and direction. The Task Force 2025 report concluded that overall we view our community as having all the raw materials and building blocks to become the "community of choice" in the Southeastern United States. Critical to this strategy of success is having a broad-based, diverse and inclusive economy.
