On Tuesday, Sept . 15, hundreds gathered at Kagney's to celebrate the
"Best of the Best" in our communit y at the Best of Fayetteville Part y.
While the Up & Coming Weekly Publisher honored the awardees, business
and community leaders cheered each other on. Celebrating the 20th
Anniversary of Up & Coming Weekly, County Commissioner Kenneth Edge
presented a proclamation recognizing Up & Coming Weekly as Fayetteville's
community newspaper.
In honor of the writers who make the paper successf ul, Bowman, along
with Associate Publisher Janice Burton, also honored long-time writers:
Pitt Dickey, Jim Jones, Dr. Shanessa Fenner and Margaret Dickson.
