January 18, 2012 Ribbon Cutting to be held for Dorothy and Toto's Ice Cream Shoppe - Jan. 28 By Joanne Winer The Quartzsite Business Chamber of Commerce will be holding a ribbon cut- ting to celebrate the opening of Dorothy and Toto's Ice Cream Shoppe at their new location. Dottie and Tony Meyers have been in business in Quartzsite for many years, and recently moved their ice cream shoppe and kettle corn booth to their new location just west of Silly Al's on Main Street in Quartzsite. Their new location gives them indoor and outdoor seating, parking, and lots of yummy delicious flavors to choose from--you can have it in a cone, dish, or special items like sundaes and ba- nana splits, shakes, etc. are also avail- able. While there, you might also want to pick up some hot and fresh kettle corn--they even have some made with Splenda instead of sugar for those of us who are diabetic or can't have sugar. Dorothy and Toto would like to in- vite everyone to come to their grand re-opening and ribbon cutting on Saturday, January 28 at 1 p.m. Bring your appetite and show your support for these friendly, wonderful owners who have been part of Quartzsite for many years and it is hoped that they will be here for many more to come.
