January 18, 2012 AWC class schedule The fun and learning will continue throughout February and March at the Arizona Western College (AWC) Quartzsite Learning Center. The faculty and staff are happy to offer the following courses dur- ing the month of February to our cherished community members and visitors: The Art of Mandalas, Drawing With Your Hidden Mind, Drawing, Oil Painting, Art Lab, Wood Carving, Jewelry Making for the Beginner, Sculpting, Wonders of the Night Sky, Exploring Kofa National Wildlife Ref- uge, Desert Ecology, Desert Birds, ABC's of Computing 1 & 2, Digital Photo Manipula- tion, Piano Keyboard for Beginners, Zumba & Zumba Gold, Flamenco Dance, Low Im- pact Aerobics and Meditation. A ceramics class is also in the works and we hope to be adding it to our schedule soon! The majority of these personal enrichment offerings meet for four weeks. Most classes are half-credit courses that cost $30 to $40, depending on student age and residency. Arizona Western College strives to provide fun and healthful learning opportunities to the Quartzsite community and is very inter- ested in learning what types of classes you are interested in.
