He had his daily friends as did I, coffee pals for him, ham radio friends for me. He had a sort of lop-sided grin, that beats a smile by a mile. We met, from time to time, at places such as the bakery,Burger King, Council meet- ings and coffee with cops. We often saw him at community events, where we would give each other a grin and a wave. Often we’d chat for awhile, usu- ally humorous or bantering. He loved to kid me for just about anything. I will Deadline for April 20th issue of the Desert Messenger is WED. Barbara Williams was given the task to head the project and oh my, she literally ran with it. I simply outlined a rough draft of the things that make Quartzsite unique and instantly she was thinking of certain individuals who were best suited for the task. At this time I would like to thank each for us to start each day, as we focus on the future of Quartzsite: “Now, we need to go about the business of the town and keep things moving in a positive direction” - Jerry Lukkasson, Quartzsite Town Council Member. Ask ourselves, how can we maximize our potential, then begin our day focusing on the future of Quartzsite.
