F������� 16, 2011 QUARTZSITE ART GUILD NEWS Submitted by Carol Brainerd I hear the meeting went well at Ron and Jo Stoltz’s place and they painted on the boards for the upcoming Centennial. I wasn’t there as I was in Bouse helping set up for the Desert Brushes Art Show Thursday night. That show was also very successful with a fantastic turnout of people but that show has been going on for 34 years. Feb 17 will be our business meeting following up on the Quartzsite Art Guild Show where we tally up and all artists will pay their 10 % of their sales to the Guild, which helps us keep going and to make our yearly donation to the Senior Center for our use of it all year. So once again we thank all of our patronages who supported our Art Show and Sale. Meeting will be at the Senior Center at 6:30 pm Thursday. This will be my last duties as President, Secretary and Treasurer as I have been doing this for 1 and a half years. So we will be deciding on who will become the new leaders of the Art Guild. I have enjoyed writ- ing these articles and keeping you all informed. But now I will hopefully have more time to paint and I will continue to be a member and enjoy the club.
