What in your background, training and experience quali- of this I learned what hard work is, and to be organized. What I do have is love and concern for the town of Quartzsite and its residents and visitors. What I have learned is if a cause is just, right and not self-serving, you put your heart and soul into it. I do know, too, that the CEO doesn’t do all of the day to day running of a large business, but they do know how to hire people that do the accounting, engineering, bill- ing, maintenance and all of the dozens of other jobs (and do them well) there are that keep a town running smoothly. They do keep track of the overall view to make sure it does get done. 2. I will continue to talk with BLM on a plan to open land for sale in and around Quartzsite. At the present, we are land-locked by BLM. Also I will continue to work with ATV riders to not have trails closed. I will continue on making Quartzsite more attractive and clean. 3. I, along with my fellow Council Members, have worked diligently with residents and the business community to encourage them to get involved in shaping the future of Quartzsite. The newly formed “Vendor, Swap Meets, RV Park Owners Board” is a prime example. We have kept top notch em- ployees working for the Town. I have been true to the promise I made to the residents and visitors of Quartzsite when I took my oath of offi ce. 4. The Town will have grown…it is in- evitable as “baby boomers” retire, but it will be a planned growth. I see a clean and inviting friendly town. Ours will be wonderful place to retire to, with affordable housing, jobs for those who want one. P 29 48 E. Cowell St., Quartzsite, AZ How long at that address? 42 years Legal resident of Quartzsite? 42 years Education: GED Employer:Arizona Westcoast Realty 1. I have received continuing educa- tion, specialized training and I am cer- tifi ed in several fi elds. I worked for the Federal Government for 15 years at the Quartzsite Post Offi ce. While there I had the opportunity to work with the public daily. Part of my job was to solve problems and maintain professional- ism. I have completed corporate man- agement training, including budget and employee management. I worked with others to create a projected business plan for Satellite Relay and maintained the position of Manager of the Quartz- site store for 7 years. I had contact with the public and corporate offi ces daily. Through my Real Estate schooling and hands-on-training, I am familiar with plate maps, zoning maps, and FEMA maps. I write various types of con- tracts. I make informed decisions. I understand the dynamics of Quartzsite and have worked with and for the peo- ple of Quartzsite. I also held a position on the Quartzsite School Board. I was appointed to the Board of Adjustments for La Paz County. In each of my past and present positions I was required to be knowledgeable, professional, cour- teous and trustworthy. 2. I believe the Council needs to pro- mote Quartzsite in every way they can.  SEE ANSWERS PAGE 31 CRAFTS & YARN NOW OPEN! Same Location! Lots of New Yarn!
