F������� 2, 2011 Library Programs On Thursday, February 10th at 2:30pm Linda Masters from Universi- ty of Arizona La Paz County Extension will be presenting a FREE program on Snakes. It is a great program. There will be a slide show. Refreshments will be served. On Thursday, February 24th at 7pm Greg Scott, of Nogales, will present the Songs of the “Cherrycows”; Cow- boy Poetry folk music and its chang- ing view of the West. This program is sponsored by the Arizona Humanities Council, Quartzsite Historical Society, Quartzsite Public Library, and Quartz- site Library Friends. There will be re- freshments served. The team of Harvey Gibson and Larry Krohling led the fi eld of contestants with a fi rst place score of 38 which is 18 under par. Four teams tied for 2nd place with scores of 40, so in a sudden death playoff the team of Bud Key and Kit Wilkens claimed 2nd place. The team of Robert Webb, John Johnson and Linda Taylor fi nished 3rd, Joyce Farmer and Jerry Taylor took 4th place, and Richard Webb and Bud Da- vis fi nished in 5th place. Following closely were 2 teams who tied shooting 41’s, Harry Walster and Darwin Aitken along with Bill Toner and Darlene Aitken. Long drive for the day went to Gary McGowan. The next tournament is scheduled for Thursday, February 10. Signup is at 9:00 and tee off is at 9:30 sharp. Y’all come!
