Page 34 February 6, 2013 www.DesertMessenger.com Assessor's Corner Notice of Value Letters mailed A message from your new County Assessor, Sharon Schuler would like you to know your 2014 Notice of Value Letters were mailed out January 31, 2013. We want to go over some areas of the notices to help our taxpayers understand this information. This is not a tax bill; this is the Notification of Value and Legal Class that has been placed on your real property and improvements. If you feel that your property has been improperly valued or listed on the tax roll, you have the opportunity to file an appeal with The County Assessor's Office within 60 days after the mail date on the front of your notice. You may contact visit the Assessor's Office in person, by mail or by telephone and request an appeal form. We will be more than happy to mail one out to you right away. You can now access the appeal forms from the Department of Revenue's Website at www.azdor.gov, and download the forms. You must understand that you will be only appealing the 2014 Value, not 2013 value. Remember you are appealing the Valuation of your property NOT YOUR TAX DOLLARS. The appeal deadline is April 2, 2013. Please keep in mind that we can only give or mail the appeals to the titled owners of the property. Make sure your parcel ID number, owners name, mailing address, and legal description on your notice are correct. Should there be a change of address or any other discrepancy, please notify our office immediately so that we can correct our records. For those of you who have not received your notice you can call our office to see if it has been returned. Remember you can always call our office with any questions. EVERYONE IS WELCOME! 208-431-0111 Public Notice Yuma, AZ - The U.S. Army Garrison Yuma Proving Ground (USAG YPG) proposes to enter into a Programmatic Agreement (PA) with the Arizona State Historic Preservation Officer and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation regarding operation, maintenance, and development activities at Yuma Proving Ground. The PA was prepared in accordance with the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), 16 United States Code § 470f and its implementing regulations (36 Code of Federal Regulations 800). The PA is intended to streamline the consultation process required under sections 106 and 110 of the NHPA for operation, maintenance, and development activities at YPG that are of a routine and recurring nature. The PA includes a number of stipulations to consider the potential for adverse effects on historic properties that could result from routine actions and to guide the consultation process for those activities. Pursuant to 36 CFR 800.14(f), USAG YPG is providing this notice to allow the public an opportunity to comment on the proposed PA and the stipulations contained therein. The PA is available for a 30-day review period and may be downloaded from the YPG website at http://www. yuma.army.mil.
