It's when we think not in a straight line, but a knowing that when we sit in a circle, we are all equal. It's recognizing that no one is at the lead, no one is at the rear. The earth is a circle, the moon is a circle, our lives are a circle. Quartzsite residents live in circlular life, also. During January, we are rushing through traffic, standing in long lines at the stores and Post Office, trying to see everything in such a short time. After folks leave in the spring, we slow down our pace, relax and enjoy the warming weather. During the summer, the heat causes humans and animals to move more slowly. It's a time for reflecting and planning for next year's busy season, coming full circle. Vendors live circular lives also, traveling to the various venues. Full time RVers travel and park when and where they want. Main St., Quartzsite 928-927-8081 timers enjoy the variety of the seasons, fully exploring the parts of the country which calls to them. We see the circle everywhere in and around Quartzsite; from the campfires to the large circle of rigs the Montana group is famous for, to vendors "circling up" at the end of the day swapping stories. As I sit today thinking on all the events over the past three weeks, it was hard to capture the essense of Quartzsite in January. Some events included witnessing Quartzsite's first Eagle Scout being honored, seeing Town Council express their desire to terminate the volunteers on the Planning & Zoning board, receiving WELCOME BACK WINTER VISITORS! Debbie, Cheyanne and Sandy are glad to have Janna, Linda, Sheryl, Jo and Beth back and they are all ready to serve you. We also have Linda, formally with Headhunters, now at our salon. Sandy is out of school now offering Therapeutic Massage. Come and see us for ALL your Hair, Nail and Pedicure Needs! But, best of all was being able to meet hundreds of vendors while volunteering with the Vendor Welcome Committee. We just went out and told vendors "thank you for coming to Quartzsite!" What an amazing experience of sharing, giving and receiving! Little did we know what untangible gifts we would be given, sharing with our visiting vendors. We all had many "wow" experiences that will be with us for years to come. Thank you to all our vendors and snowbirds! You ROCK!
