28 UCW DECEMBER 2-8, 2015 WWW.UPANDCOMINGWEEKLY.COM Happy Holidays! PWC electric customers can earn bill credits for purchasing ENERGY STAR® LED light strands. Earn an $8 credit on your electric bill for each new strand of 100 lights or more you purchase or a $4 credit per smaller strand (less than 100 lights) – with a limit of five strands per account holder and a maximum credit of $40 for all five strands. Good News! While LED lights provide a bright and festive "twinkle," they use 96% less energy. And saving energy also saves you money. For example: A 100 watt incandescent bulb strand will cost approximately $1.42 to illuminate 10 hours a day for 30 days. A 70 watt LED strand will only cost $0.17 for the same amount of time. LED holiday lights are also: • Longer lasting: The same LED string could still be in use 40 holiday seasons from now! • Safer: Cooler than incandescent lights, they reduce the risk of combustion or burnt fingers. • Sturdier: They're made with epoxy lenses, not glass, so they're more resistant to breakage. • Easier to install: Up to 25 strings of LEDs can be connected end-to-end without overloading a wall socket. Remember, you can also save during the holiday season by putting timers on your lights. To save and stay safe, turn off your lights when you leave home or go to bed. Incentive Program Details All purchases must be made between October 1 and December 31, 2015. Applications with documentation must be postmarked by January 15, 2016. For more information – and an application – visit our website and see "Programs" under the Residential tab. www.faypwc.com Bright Idea for Holiday Lights Save Energy. Save Money. Be Merry!
