18 UCW DECEMBER 2-8, 2015 WWW.UPANDCOMINGWEEKLY.COM Santa Claus: The jolly old man in the red suit brings joy and excitement to children across the globe. Meeting with Santa Claus, sitting on his lap, asking for specific toys while parents take pictures is a holiday tradition in its own right. Instead of the familiar long line at the local mall there is an easier and more pleasant option. Instead of waiting in lines, have a relaxing breakfast. Santa visits several Fayetteville establishments to enjoy breakfast with local families. On Dec. 12, Santa comes to the Airborne and Special Operations Museum, which is located at 100 Bragg Blvd. Breakfast is from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Catherine Hodge the Foundation events coordinator said that breakfast will feature two fluffy pancakes, a sausage patty and a choice of milk or juice. There will also be coffee available for adults. There is a lot of hard work that goes into preparing a successful breakfast like this, but for Hodge all the hard work pays off. "Definitely the most rewarding part of the breakfast is to see the little ones meet with Santa. Seeing their faces light up really does bring out the magic of the season," she said. Remember the occasion with pictures with the jolly elf. He's available from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. However, there will be a brief break from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. while Santa participates in the downtown Christmas Parade. Reservations can be made through the gift shop or by calling 643-2773. Tickets for adults are $10 and $5 for children. For more information visit http:// www.asomf.org/event/breakfast-with-santa/. Advanced reservations are required and can be made at 910-829-9171. These tickets include a breakfast buffet, a Christmas themed craft for kids, pictures with Santa and admission into the museum. Fascinate-U is located at 116 Green St. For more information visit http://www.fascinate-u.com . The museum is designed specifically for the enjoyment of children.
