The familial nature of the restaurant is reflected in every aspect of the establishment. The cuisine is classic Italian with a smattering of American dishes like Buffalo wings. While the pizza is incredible, the entire menu is packed full of flavorful and authentic dishes. The menu appears simple at first glance, offering chicken teriyaki, beef bulgogi and seafood tempura, but these familiar favorites appear in their best iterations at Sakura. The star of the menu is the sushi. Sakura offers a variety of rolls and preparation styles. The simplest is Sashimi, which features two pieces of the highest quality fresh fish. From there, the menu expands and the chef 's creativity and skill is on display. Rolls incor- porate multiple flavors and textures, all per- fectly presented in a package of seaweed and rice. Each little bite is a surprising explosion of flavors like the dragon roll, which features barbecued eel and salmon skin. Here, sushi is much more than raw fish. It is a culinary experience.
