SEPTEMBER 14-20, 2016 UCW 9 WWW.UPANDCOMINGWEEKLY.COM ARTS MEDIA MEDIA Best Live Theatre Cape Fear Regional 1209 Hay St. Tickets 910.323.4233 Business: 910. 323.4234 or www.cfrt.org In 1962, a small group of local actors got together and started putting on plays. At that time, with the group doing a two-show season, no one could have every pre- dicted how far the theater would go or how much joy it would bring to the community. But today, that theatre sits majestically in Haymount. The former Little Theatre is now the Cape Fear Regional Theatre and is known locally, regionally, around the state and the nation is a wonderful art institution where great stories are told by great actors. Each year more than 42,000 patrons flow through the doors of the theatre, including nearly 7,000 students. The CFRT has grown far beyond the wildest dreams of its organizers but many believe the best is yet to come, and if the ongoing season is any indicator, the sky is the limit! Best Local Actor Staci Graybill Staci Graybill is a local girl who has made the community proud. A 2004 graduate of Pine Forest Senior High, Graybill attended Fayetteville Technical Community College and Grace College of Divinity. She has also graced the stage at FTCC and has won accolades from the community for her talent and energy. When not treading the boards, Gray is a stay-at home mom. Fayetteville theatre fans can't get enough of Graybill and have named her the Best Local Actor. Judge Robert Stiehl Chief District Court Judge Most Respected Civic Leader
