24 SEPTEMBER 14-20, 2016 Best of Fayetteville Best Local Caterer Chef Judy — Let Me Cater to You 445 Westwood Shopping Center 910.443.3588 or www.letmecatertoyou.net Let Me Cater to You is the catering business of Fayetteville's own celebrity Chef Judy. Judith Cage is a proud Army Veteran and female minority business owner. She was featured as the only female contestant on the military edition of the Food Network's Chopped. She discovered her love for food when she joined the military at the age of 17 as a food service specialist. She gained experience cooking in kitchens all across the states and in the United Kingdom, which shaped how she approaches her own business. She believes that meeting the customer's needs is the most important goal. She works tirelessly to make every event from picnics to wedding receptions perfect through her diverse menu, meticulous presentation, excellent service and professional staff. In addition to classic catering, Let Me Cater to You also offers lunch Tuesdays through Fridays, specializing in comfort food. The restaurant can also be used for private dining events. Best Steak/Best Ribs/Best Waitstaff Texas Roadhouse 4195 Sycamore Dairy Road 910.826.1288 or www.texasroadhouse.com Texas Roadhouse started in 1993 in Clarksville, Indiana, and has spread across the United States bringing a piece of the heartland with it. This family-friendly restaurant embodies small town hospitality. The friendly service makes dinner a delight for the entire family. The hand-cut steaks phenomenal, but unlike the typical steak house, this restaurant is not a one hit wonder. The sides are all made from scratch, the bread is baked fresh and the ribs are unbelievably tender. Texas Roadhouse now offers "gluten friendly" options. Because dishes are prepared from scratch in the kitchen the possibility of cross contamination prevents options from being totally gluten free. The staff is led by Mark Hymes, the 2015 Managing Partner of the Year. Best Brew House The Mash House 4150 Sycamore Dairy Road 910.867.9223 or www.themashhouse.com The Mash House is both a brewing company and a restaurant, which has supported the Fayetteville community for 15 years. The cuisine is a fusion of gourmet and casual. The menu features comforting favorites like incredible burgers, steaks and chops and inventive dishes like a fun twist on the classic Jambalaya — all prepared in-house using produce from local farmers. What makes the Mash House so unique is the handcrafted, award-winning beers that are brewed at the restaurant with traditional old world methods. They can be enjoyed in the dining room or full-service bar by the pint, half pint or in a series of small tasting glasses. Try multiple brews on site or in reusable growlers to take home. The basic ingredients used in the micro brewery are malted barley, hops, yeast and pure water but with a little time and a lot of skill, they transform into complex drinks like the Blonde Lager, The Irish Red Ale and Hefe, a German-style hefeweizen. Like the food, these brews are creative and fresh takes on old classics.
