All will be present at Blast From the Past, the first ever fundraising event to benefit the Cumberland County Council on Older Adults' Meals on Wheels Program. Dust off your dancing shoes. It's time to revisit those fun dances and memories. The event will be held on Saturday, May 3, in the Marseilles Room at the Holiday Inn Bordeaux. Throughout the years, the Council on Older Adults has been fortunate to receive funding from federal/ state grants, Cumberland County, United Way, Program Income, additional grants, and public donations. The Council on Older Adults continues to receive traditional funding, however, Meals on Wheels Program services a maximum number of seniors. " We're excited to be doing our first major fundraising event. Not only are we looking forward to being able to expand our Meals on Wheels program with the monies raised from this event, but we look forward to raising awareness of the Council as a whole," said Becky Pettit board liaison and special events coordinator.
