Our 7th tournament fea- tured a true blind draw for the partner scramble. There were 30 golfers par- ticipating and the team of Pat Matlock and Jerry Taylor were the winners with a 20 under par score of 36. Close behind was the team of Con Smith and Kit Wilkins at 39. There was a 3rd place tie between the team of Harvey Gibson with Debra Jensen and Bill Toner with Robert Barnard shooting scores of 40. The team of Jim Mar- tell and Joyce Farmer rounded out the winner’s circle with a 41. Long drive on hole #13 for the ladies was Debra Jensen and the men’s winner was Dwayne Farmer. Closest to the pin for women on hole #2 was Sharon Martell with a hole in one. Closest to the pin for men on hole #9 were Pat Matlock and George Lische with holes in one. It’s been a great season for desert golf- ers and make note on your calendars that the tournaments will continue next October. Hope to see you then!
