COMPLETE PARTS DEPARTMENT 928-927-3490 12 YEARS IN QUARTZSITE! Ken: 602-908-7901 NEW TOWN WEBSITE? More glitches, but closer now!  www.ci.quartzsite.az.us. The Town of Quartzsite has been working on a brand new website for the past few months. The goal was to have the new site online by Jan. 1, 2011, however, as with any new project, there were few glitches. Add to that the holiday schedule, but Web Master, Roger Williams said they are just waiting for the transfer to occur. The website is voter registrations, and vehicles, etc., must be Arizona registered at least one year prior to your application. If the issue date is less than that, then you must wait another year to apply. Un- fortunately, you have to meet all decid- ing factors before we can approve your application. Income is another one. There is an income guideline on the amount of taxable income a household is allowed to make. This means every- one that has income, which lives in your home, must report their income to the Assessor. Keep in mind, that the information that we receive is con- fi dential. The amount of taxable in- come varies, depending whether chil- dren reside in the household or not. Section 6-2-9 Dogs At Large, Violation (Ord 99-07) B. It shall be unlawful for any person having ownership, possession or con- trol of a dog to allow the dog to run at large within the Town of Quartzsite. Quartzsite Leash Law J 19, 2011 For example: If children under the age of 18 reside with you, or a disabled child over 18 resides with you, then the amount you are able to make in taxable income is $34,884.00 (2011) but not to exceed that amount. If you have no children in the household, then the taxable income cannot exceed $29,071.00 (2011). These fi gures are recalculated each year, so heads up in 2012, if you don’t qualify this up and coming year. Did you know, that if you qualify, and you have excess or left over exemp- tion after the Assessor applies it to the property, you may apply the excess exemption to the Vehicle License Tax of your vehicles. But, you must be a titled owner of the vehicle and it must be registered in the State of Arizona. It doesn’t matter if there are one or more owners on title. Here, again, it will be only your interest that will be exempt- ed from taxation. During the Property Tax Exemption application period, the La Paz County Assessor’s Offi ce visits some of the out- lying areas for your convenience and we notify our taxpayers through the media, radio, public announcement, cable, and post cards. Please take ad- vantage of this service and watch for announcements throughout the appli- cation period.
