It’s showtime in Quartzsite, just in case you’re wondering about all that traffi c! Compared to last year, the weather is cooperating wonderfully! If you missed last year, rains and winds wiped out many vendors’ canopies just at the peak of the season. The washes were “run- ning” and Rice Ranch parking lot was a huge pond overfl owing the banks. This year, more vendor permits have been sold than last year, the sun is shin- ing, and optimism fi lls the air. While putting this issue together I noticed the overwhelming amount of activities, entertainment & musical events fi lling up the calendar. Sunshine, swapmeets fi lled with vendors, music, bingo, crafts, retired wisdom keepers, ham radio operators, RVers, antique car enthusiasts, ATVers, rockhounds, gold hunters, shoppers, wholesale buyers, etc. - add to the mixture of locals who call Quartzsite home, and you’ve got the uniqueness that makes this the largest gathering of RVers on earth!
