J 19, 2011 COME TO AUTHOR’S FAIR By JoanneWiner QUARTZSITE- The annual Author’s Fair at the Reader’s Oasis Bookstore, lo- cated 690 E. Main, just east of Family Dollar, is going on every day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each week until the end of February will have different authors coming; some will stay for the whole time, while others will come and go. Some may just be there once this sea- son, depending on their schedules. This week, we have three very spe- cial authors-- Quartzsite resident Debbie Hilbish, also the coordina- tor of the fair, will be there every day to show you her newest poetry book, Life Dream Collisions. She will also share some of the most beautiful pic- tures and drawings that she made into cards, as well as her fi rst poetry book, Bits and Pieces. If you want to meet a real cowboy, come and say hello to Stu Campbell, also back again this year with his three books written about horses--Humor around Horses, Horsing around a Lot, and Horsin’ around the Dudes. .DM. Joining us again this year is Ceil Stetson, author of Dear Sergeant Hon- ey, the story of her mother, who joined the Women’s Auxiliary Corps in WW 2 and was sent overseas to do a unique job. This is her story, and her words in letters and journals she kept for many years. You will never read anything like it! The fair will also have Georgina Wil- liams, author of Delicina’s Tears, Be- yond the Walls, Rehearsals in Madness, and her 4th book Whispering Wild Fires some time during the fair, and she is currently working on her 5th book. Well known and loved author of the Joe Picket series, C.J. Box, will also be attending the fair this year, but not until March 15. He will be coming to Quartzsite to visit his mother and fa- ther who live here, and will be at the bookstore signing books at noon on the morning of the 14th, then he will be doing a signing at the library at 2:30 p.m. Come on out and meet him and all the other authors who will be com- ing to the fair this season--names and dates will be posted as soon as they are known.
